About Erin Murphy, FNP-C

Erin Murphy, MSN, FNP-BC of Greenwood, Indiana joined Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2018. From Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing. Her nursing specialty is Family Nurse Practitioner, graduating Magna cum Laude from that program. Erin sees patients in Indianapolis.


Erin’s gastroenterology training focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the GI tract, liver, and pancreas. As a nurse practitioner, she is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Erin is a member of the nursing professional fraternity, Sigma Theta Tau International. She is certified in ACLS and BLS.


An active volunteer, Erin has participated in medical mission trips in Honduras and Guatemala. For recreation, she enjoys golfing and cycling.

    IGH was very considerate of my fears and allergies to anesthesia and pain medication. They explained my condition as fully as possible, prior to testing. Now I’ll receive a biopsy to determine if there is something to be concerned about. If not, I’ll only need a little diet change and some supplements to keep my numbers normal.     I’ve been seeing Dr. Morelli and his team for approximately 4-5 yrs. now and I have been very pleased. I had a first time follow up appointment with his N. P. Stephanie who I was very pleased with. I knew she had reviewed my chart thoroughly before entering the room. She was very knowledgeable on the previous procedures I had done in the past.
