"I had to go in for a routine procedure (endoscopy) to determine if I had an autoimmune disease associated with some symptoms I’ve been having. Procedure went well, no concerns/complaints and I didn’t remember a thing about the procedure itself. Bill (a nurse), Adam (the anesthesiologist) and a plethora of other nurses were fantastic. I had one poor experience. The second from last nurse I had made comments about me coming down from anesthesia, making comments like “don’t act high, we didn’t give you narcotics”. I personally get very anxious/nervous when coming down from any kind of sedation and when I do, I tend to a nervous giggle/twitch from anxiety. My fiancé was in the room and immediately his ears perked up, and he started listening in. Then shortly after, I was asking questions about the procedure because they stated they didn’t see anything, and I was told by that same nurse that it was extremely unlikely that I had this condition because I was “too big” and didn’t fit the criteria. Which is 100% untrue (she did not use the words fat, but the comment was suggestive enough for me to understand what she meant by it). I am a little larger than average, about 165-175lbs on a bad day, and her comments absolutely crushed me because I’ve been on a weight loss journey and have lost about 30/40lbs in the past year. She made similar comments of how I would’ve had this condition since I was young, and that these people are “sticky skinny, pale and anemic” (which I was all of those for years until I gave birth to my last child) and that these conditions are “lifelong” and “don’t suddenly appear” (I was told the opposite by my physician). All in all, it was a pleasant experience until the very end. I may have to get another procedure done here and I would trust them enough to confirm a diagnosis. But some, I’d recommend, should take another course on bedside manner."

"Had an esophagus dilation scheduled at the Endoscopy Center at St Francis hospital having had many of these over the years for difficult swallowing I was familiar with the process . The nurses get right to it preparing you for the procedure appropriate questions are asked for your safety . Anesthesiologist will advise you of the sedation medication used and reassures you that it is safe and Dr Crane will do the same.also Dr Drake depending upon who does the procedure. At this hospital I have always had the safest procedures . Much gratitude for all at the Endoscopy Center at St Francis Hospital."

"I think Dr.Drake is very personable and I believe that he knows his stuff. I have only met him about 3 times now but hope to change that. I am required to have a mid year office visit and hope to do that by scheduling with him. His physician assistants are equally capable but I think that you come to know your doctor better when you consistently schedule your appointments with them. I have my colonoscopies every two years. Seeing the same doctor makes a difference!"
"Well I first thought I was to have an endoscope, but they didn't have one scheduled. After I was told that my appointment was on 3rd floor with Bailey Wulle, I had a great appointment with her. She talked about different reasons my abdominal area was giving me problems, she made suggestions and made a plan for me to follow and see her again in four months."

"If not for Dr Vincent, I may never have received treatment for the virus I had. I feel the other provider I was assigned to thought I was not in the proper category to be treated. I feel that I was merely object of her discrimination because she could have just as easily wrote the antiviral prescription. Thankfully, Dr Vincent stepped in and provided treatment for the virus after I’d been going to IGH for 2 years. By that time the virus had lead to a chronic, progressive and incurable disease that will most likely shorten my life. Thank you Dr. Vincent, I appreciate you with all my heart. I’m not sure I can come back. The 5 stars are for Dr Vincent."

"I was able to get in to see Dr. Morelli after my ER visit. His bedside manner is unmatched. He was so calm and kind, listened to everything I said, and didn’t want to run any unnecessary tests and referred me straight to a surgeon. He was so genuine and sympathetic. The front desk as well as the person checking me out were all very kind. I do wish the nurse/assistant was a little more personable. I don’t even think she said hi."

"I made an appointment to see Dr. Nasereddin for G.I. Issues that I have been experiencing for quite awhile now. These issues seemed to be getting worse; not better so that is what prompted my visit. I was very pleased with how I was treated by the reception staff, the clinical staff, and Dr. Nassereddin. Every person that I came in contact with, was compassionate, friendly and put me at ease. That is exactly how a new patient wants to be treated and they did an excellent job."

"I had persistent diarrhea following gall bladder surgery in 2018. My former internist treated the symptoms but never looked for the reason. In 2023, I relocated to Franklin and was referred to Dr. Thayer Nasereddin. Lucky me! Dr. Nasereddin actually listened to me, ordered a sigmoidoscope and I was diagnosed with microscopic colitis. My life no longer requires planning trips based on the location of the nearest bathroom."

He is also straight forward and honest while being very kind. Parking is an issue, I drove around for 10 minutes and saw a couple near accidents because people were frustrated. My particular appointment could have been virtual which would have freed up parking and given Dr. Drake more time for other patients."

"I was not at all pleased with my recovery care. The lady was not pleasant, she made me feel like I was taking up her precious time and needing to be pushed out. I asked for a blanket and she told me I was leaving I didn't need one. I asked again for a bkanket when I was in the wheel chair, watching my room be cleaned (proof I'm being rushed- to then hear that room was done for the day) while I waited for someone to take me out, she ignored me, so I went to get my own, I would have fell over due to loss of balance (I felt ok, obviously I wasn't) and the cleaning lady caught me and gave me my blanket and also took my out for my ride. My ride went to the wrong pickup area, and without hesitation, she took me over there. She was fantastic. The 2 nurses, Madonna & Bridget were very kind when I got there to prep for surgery. The surgery room experience a bit scary, I've had a few surgeries, and I've never been coherent for that long of a time before a procedure (this was my 4th colonoscopy) I was quite emotional with anxiety, though this is an everyday event fir them, I feel like they need to remember that it isn't for us. Possibly for those that are extremely anxious, help us out with a little medication after we're prepped. That would help sooo much. Thank you for allowing me to express my thoughts."

Everyone including the scheduling lady, the person who asked me to sign waivers, and nurses were super polite and kind. The nurses who were accompanying me to operation room were so calm and also helped me calm down. Last time I was put in full anesthesia was when I was 7, so naturally I was quite nervous but the team was very helpful in calming me down. I didn’t even realize when they use the anesthesia but they told me it gets into effect in 20 seconds. I don’t remember any part of the procedure. They were so nice to call my boyfriend so he picks me up and also called him again to guide him which door to pick me up from my wheelchair. After the procedure, another very nice nurse helped me with checkout procedure and gave me apple juice. The unit uses Klara chat systems and I got timely responses regarding my questions before the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. James Jacob if you want to check any stomach related issues or want an expert opinion. Thanks a lot for your service."

"The staff was friendly and got me in quickly. Dr Haynes listened to the symptoms I was having and ordered labs accordingly. I was told at the end of my appointment that blood work needed done and I needed to call to schedule an ultrasound. I went and got the blood work only to be told by the lab that my insurance needed a prior authorization. I called the insurance who confirmed that they did need one and that Dr Haynes office needed to call them. So I called Dr Haynes office and was informed that under no circumstance would they send a prior authorization but that I needed to call the insurance back so that they could tell me somewhere I could go to get the test done that would be not as expensive. Essentially, both insurance and Dr Haynes office told me I was out of luck, they couldn’t help, and that I needed to do the test and pay for it. The day after my original appointment, I was scheduled for the liver ultrasound. When I got there, they informed me that Dr Haynes office had not sent the order yet. When I called, Dr Haynes office said they needed to pre-certify the ultrasound before sending it. I have no idea what that means and I had been on the phone with them and my insurance several times the previous day. At that point, I was standing in the hospital bawling my eyes out because I work three jobs, I’m an only parent, im in college full time, and I was being told I had to pay for this lab work to be done somewhere and I had to find that somewhere and that I had to find another day in my already-tight schedule to do the ultrasound. The person working at the radiology portion of the hospital must have overheard me trying to get myself together because she ended up calling my family doctor who immediately sent over the order for the ultrasound and they did it. I don’t want to be dramatic but having any kind of health scare when you are the sole provider for your child, especially one that can be genetic, puts an immense amount of stress on a person. Like I previously mentioned, the staff was very nice, there was just additional stress after the appointment due to confusion/communication."

Dr. Orinion was able to diagnose and find a precancerous condition before it could become a cancer allowing me time to make necessary diet/lifestyle chranges so I am grateful to have such a good doctor who really cares about his patients. Recently i had annual checkup with Dr. Orinion and thought maybe he could tell me about an issue i was having with a hiatalhernia in my stomach . Dr. Orinion had. a surgeon call me the very next day and had exams scheduled of which are already completed. Turns out my hernia may be leaking i didnt know that was possible i just thought i had infection leaking. Test will tell in a few days but i know one thing for certain. You wont find a doctor who cares more about his patients i cant emphasize enough how the urgency doctor Orinion places on care and treatment of his patients has made a positive difference in my life and im sure countless others as i see first hand Doctor Orinion can be what i seen is a man who takes plenty of time for each patienta and as result goes from room to room seeing patients all daylong that way i dont see where he gets a break if any all day but the care treatment and time spent with his pstients and the urgency of which he emphasizes his patients needs to surgeons hospitals for tests and with pharmacies regarding medications is second to none.
